In May 2026, Providence Swedish Cancer Institute celebrated the way Dr. Ward lived with the unveiling of the Jeffery C. Ward, M.D., Infusion Center at Swedish Edmonds. The project, which doubles the number of available infusion chairs from 19 to 38, demonstrates the immense impact donors can have on patients and their families.

Providence Swedish launched its Transgender and Gender-Diverse Hair Treatment Program in 2024 thanks to generous philanthropic support. Today, the program is changing lives.

Providence Swedish is setting its sights on the next era of research by using leading-edge artificial intelligence tools to more efficiently standardize, anonymize, and analyze patient data. This can lead to significant advancements in patient care. And, like so much of the vital research being done across Providence Swedish, philanthropy is essential to funding this work.

Mike Boyle is overwhelmed with gratitude as he returns to Providence Swedish Heart & Vascular Institute, where our dedicated caregivers treated him after his heart stopped while driving home on State Route 99. Today, Mike is back to jogging and traveling — and supporting the excellent care he received at Providence Swedish by making a gift in honor of the team that saved his life.

Liberty Rivera, RN, takes us on her 12-hour shift at Providence Swedish Issaquah, where her days are dedicated to caring for our most vulnerable patients and their families. From charting to mental multitasking, Liberty is just one example of the countless nurses at Providence Swedish who give their all to our community. 

Terry Wallace had just retired when he was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic lung cancer and given a prognosis of one year to live. That was nearly two years ago. Today, Terry is thriving and planning his next vacation after joining a groundbreaking clinical trial led by Providence Swedish Cancer Institute oncologist Kelly Paulson, M.D., Ph.D.
