Giving an unrestricted donation allows Swedish to respond to opportunities as they arise. These gifts help Swedish maintain excellent patient services, support life enhancing research and developing exciting new programs like the stroke telemedicine program, which enables neurologists to consult virtually with hospitals and emergency departments across the region.

By donating to the Cancer Institute, you can join the fight against cancer in a meaningful way. Your participation plays a crucial role in providing essential programs with the technology, equipment and resources needed to turn the latest medical research into outstanding clinical care.

Swedish is committed to providing charity care to all who need it. Delivering this type of care to each patient while remaining financially viable is an ongoing challenge. As a nonprofit medical center, Swedish must increasingly rely on the generous support of donors in order to serve many of our patients and fulfill our mission. In 2008, Swedish provided over $20 million in charity care to our patients.

Supporting Swedish Heart and Vascular Institute (SHVI) helps Swedish physicians provide advanced cardiovascular care and education resources to our patients, from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation, for cardiac and vascular conditions. SHVI also relies on the support of donors to carry out its many essential research and training programs.

Swedish is proud to offer care to our patients in their own homes through our talented staff of home care professionals. Home care workers help patients after they have been discharged from the hospital, provide infusion and support patients and families through hospice care. Thousands of lives are touched and improved every year by Swedish Visiting Nurse Services. The important work they do can be supported through your generous donation.

Gifts to the Swedish Neuroscience Institute will ensure our patients have access to the most advanced neurological and neurosurgical treatment options. From state-of-the art Cyberknife surgery to advanced stroke care, SNI provides the most advanced care available anywhere.

Swedish cares for kids. We know that our pediatric patients require a special kind of care and generous support from the community is needed to make every family feel comforted. Gifts to Pediatric Specialty Care support programs and services that create a family-centered environment.

Swedish is the only place in the region where families can get prenatal care, deliver their newborn, access a Level III neonatal intensive care unit if a crisis arises, and receive continuing pediatric care. At Swedish/First Hill, families receive all this under one roof. This is why more than 8,000 families a year choose to deliver their babies at Swedish.

Building a new hospital takes many partners, we are proud to be coming to Issaquah to build a health care center of the future. Our goal is auspicious to raise $15 million to bring the world-class health care that Swedish has been providing for 101 years to the Eastside. We hope you will partner with us today.

Swedish is the largest provider of orthopedic care in the Northwest. We perform more than 6,400 procedures a year. That number is expected to mushroom as baby boomers age. Support from the private sector is vital to us because we are a non-profit medical center. Help us continue to be a regional leader in orthopedics.

By donating to the renovation and expansion of the Swedish Cancer Institute at Edmonds you can join the fight against cancer in a meaningful way. Your participation plays a crucial role in providing essential programs with the technology, equipment and resources needed to turn the latest medical research into outstanding clinical care. Our goal is to raise $500,000 for this project.
