Comprehensive Heart Failure Center
A better way to treat patients with heart failure
One in four Americans has experienced heart and vascular disease. More than five million people in the U.S. have heart failure - and the number is growing. You might think of heart failure as the sudden stopping of a beating heart. But, in fact, heart failure is often a chronic, long-term disease.
A heart failure diagnosis signals the beginning of a lifetime of treatment to manage a wide range of symptoms. For people living with heart failure and their families, managing a long list of medications, making drastic lifestyle changes and traveling to doctors appointments can be overwhelming. A lack of access to treatment for the most severe acute cases can be life-threatening.
The addition of a Comprehensive Heart Failure Center will complete the continuum of care available at Swedish to improve and extend heart failure patients’ lives.
