Swedish is leading the way in increasing overall patient wellness, providing early intervention before medical problems become severe and reducing the cost of health-care delivery, particularly for the most medically underserved members of our community. In 2012, Swedish devoted more than $130 million in community benefits, including $36 million in direct charity care. This work is core to our nonprofit mission and improves the health and well-being of our entire region.
