Celebrate Swedish 2013
Thanks for your support!
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the 28th annual Celebrate Swedish gala on April 27 at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel! We also thank our many corporate sponsors, including presenting sponsor Wells Fargo. The event generated $700,000 for charity care at Swedish and $2.6 million for the new Lytle Center for Pregnancy & Newborns, which opens this summer.

Proceeds from the 2013 Celebrate Swedish Gala supported Swedish’s charity care program which offers free or discounted hospital services for those who cannot afford care, many of whom are underinsured or have no insurance at all.
In 2012, Swedish provided more than $35 million in direct charity care alone. The funds raised through Celebrate Swedish play a critical role in helping us make quality healthcare available to all members of our community.
In addition to supporting charity care, the 2013 Fund-A-Need project for Celebrate Swedish 2013 was the new Lytle Center for Pregnancy & Newborns, a unique community resource soon to be located at Swedish/ First Hill.
This 5,000 square-foot space will provide an array of care and support services that enable Swedish to provide comprehensive care to mothers and their newborns that continues through the first days and months of a new baby's life.
In addition to housing designated clinics for postpartum checkups, lactation consultations, and well-baby follow up visits, the Lytle Center will serve as a warm and welcoming community gathering place, offering educational programs, fitness activities and support groups to new families.
